]]>Last June 21, dnota medio ambiente, s.l. approved the incorporation of a new company, called Laboratorios Cavendish, S.L. This new company, as of today, belongs to the group’s corporate organization chart, with the intention of being part of the segregation process of dnota’s current business.

dnota is composed of the AIR, WATER, NOISE and FOOD Divisions, well, dnota will maintain the business of the AIR Division and also that of the FOOD Division, without any change whatsoever.
With respect to the WATER and NOISE DIVISIONS business, the en bloc transfer, by universal succession, means that at the effective date, all the necessary resources are transferred to continue with the same activity under the new corporate name.
The transfer en bloc means transferring all the related assets, all the employees that are currently providing services, as well as all the necessary accessory resources, such as accreditations, authorizations, offices, vehicles and everything that makes possible the production of each and every one of the contracts with the clients.
Once the new company was incorporated on June 30, the transfer was also approved en bloc, by universal successionof the part of the company’s assets and liabilities dedicated to the business of environmental analysis and studies in the WATER and NOISE sectorof an economic unit, for the benefit of the new beneficiary companycalled Laboratorios Cavendish, S.L.

An essential aspect of our business is the link we currently have with all our customers and suppliers. Well, a communication process has been initiated to all customers and suppliers who currently have a link with the WATER and NOISE Division business, so that they can subrogate the contractual relationship and thus continue from day one with the operations, without any loss or damage.
The effective date will be September 30. This means that the segregation of the business will take place on that day, and on October 1 it will be Laboratorios Cavendish, S.L. that will operate the business in question.

]]>The City Government has awarded a contract to the company dnotathe technical assistance service contract for the revision and updating of the Ceuta Strategic Noise Map and its Action Planas well as for the technical advice and study for the determination and declaration of the Special Noise Protection Zones (ZPAE) and preparation of a proposal for the corresponding Zonal Action Plans.

In the case of the city of Ceuta, leisure activities also have special characteristics, including the concentration of premises in areas where cumulative effects are produced, especially due to the transit and/or permanence of people (agglomerations).
These are noise sources whose acoustic modeling is somewhat more complicated, both because of the difficulty of spatially locating the sources and predicting their emission power and behavior.
To this end, the MER of Ceuta, in the analysis and evaluation of possible effects, considers carrying out sound level measurement campaigns, whose design has been based on the selection of representative points of the activity of the City, through the identification of sensitive enclaves (health and educational centers, social facilities, etc.), covering foreseeable situations in relation to the main sources of noise identified (road traffic, port, industrial and commercial activity, heliport, etc.) and other locations proposed by citizen entities.
The Action Plan foresees three blocks of measures: Evaluation and Follow-up Actions; Legislative and Administrative Actions; and Executive Actions.
As Evaluation and Monitoring actions, it is planned to update the noise maps of the City and the preparation of specific maps in the enclaves that are identified as the target of protective or corrective actions in acoustic matters.
The process of updating the Strategic Noise Map, will analyze and review the noise legislation and establish requirements for updating the SRMIn addition, it will review and update the acoustic zoning of the City of Ceuta, as well as the development of the acoustic map in accordance with Directive 49/2002/CE, of June 25, of the European Parliament, so that after the adaptation to a geographic information system (GIS) it will be possible to predict the evolution of urban noise.
Field work will also be carried out in the conditions that will allow adjusting and validating the simulation model and generating the database that will be used to update the acoustic map. For this purpose, a sampling plan will be previously carried out in order to perform sound level measurements at significant points in the City and to represent the noise levels of the City as established in the applicable regulations.

dnota has extensive experience in providing cities with a series of services aimed at controlling noise pollution, as well as consulting services for corrective measures. It also has continuous measurement systems to monitor noise and vibration.

The Port Authority has relied on dnota ‘s extensive experience for this work, which will be carried out over the next three years.
This network has equipment for continuous analysis of pollutant gases, particle monitors, meteorological stations, as well as a noise monitoring system.
In addition to the actual maintenance of the measurement equipment, dnota will be in charge of the management of the data obtained and their validation, reporting, etc.

Until now, the maintenance of these networks has been carried out by a small local company, but the A.P. of Valencia has entrusted to dnota This will provide you with the solvency of a company that has been working for more than 30 years for public administrations all over Spain, as well as for the main private clients that have this type of installations.
It should be noted that dnota has been performing this type of maintenance, for example, in the public air quality networks of the Community of Madrid, the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Government of Extremadura, the Government of Cantabria, the Community of Valencia and the Region of Murcia, as well as for the State Meteorological Agency.

]]>The Mediterranean Corridor is a rail corridor that runs mainly parallel to the Mediterranean coast in eastern Spain.
The term is used to describe several different lines in the same corridor, both in terms of their type (high speed, conventional line, freight line…), their situation (in service, under construction, in project, in planning…), and their scope (from Barcelona-Valencia to the whole Mediterranean). All these lines are related to each other by linking the same cities and sharing several sections and stations. Together with the Atlantic Corridor and the Central Corridor, they will be the three main transport networks for both people and goods between the Iberian Peninsula and the rest of the European continent.
The purpose of the contract is the development of the acoustic study in the indicated area (Castellbisbal-Almussafes), to compare the acoustic levels before and after the implementation of the third lane in the Mediterranean Corridor.
The scenario prior to the entry into service of the third lane will be determined by 2013 traffic, and the future scenario will correspond to the projections for the year 2040. In addition, an intermediate analysis scenario will be established in 2020.

The level of vibration immission in living spaces near areas under construction for road, rail or port infrastructures in which such machinery operates can alter the state of comfort and, in certain cases, be detrimental to the health of the inhabitants of these spaces.
These vibrations can become equally representative during the operation of the exposed infrastructures. Therefore, it is advisable or even mandatory to monitor all vibrations that can be reached in sensitive areas associated with an activity, both in the execution and operation phase.
A correct vibration monitoring provides continuous information on the level of exposure of an individual to vibrations that can be reached in a house according to the activity generated by any infrastructure, which, due to its location or level of activity, requires its evaluation.
dnota medio ambiente, S.L. has the technical and human resources for the vibration monitoring of any type of activity in real time. For this purpose, we use a remote communication tool that allows connection via RS232, USB, GPRS modem, Internet, LAN and WLAN of the vibration monitoring equipment with the system manager. The user or system manager can access directly or programmed to the information recorded by the vibration analyzer installed in the monitoring equipment, remotely configure its operation, set vibration immission limits as alarms for level exceedance, record all events continuously with unlimited storage capacity, high efficiency in the post-processing of the information recorded continuously, as well as the sending of messages via sms, e-mail to the end user with the vibration data through the configuration of alerts for exceeding the level of immission after comparison with those tolerable values as established in this regard by the applicable reference standards.
Therefore, among the fundamental virtues of the vibration monitoring system we highlight:

]]>According to the European Union Directive 2002/49, community regulations on noise pollution prevention, and in accordance with the Spanish Noise Law 37/2003 and the Royal Decree that develops it (R.D. 1513/2005, on Noise, with regard to the evaluation and management of environmental noise), agglomerations, understood as municipalities with a population of over 100,000 inhabitants, must have a Strategic Noise Map. The scope of the study to be carried out will cover the entire area corresponding to the urban agglomeration of Fuenlabrada.
Strategic maps of agglomerations take special account of noise from road traffic, rail traffic, airports and industrial areas.
Its purpose is to provide a tool for assessing the overall exposure to noise pollution in a given area and the informed adoption of action plans on noise pollution and, in general, of appropriate corrective measures.
For this purpose, the study will include the values of existing or predicted noise indices and thus the estimated number of people, dwellings, educational centers and hospitals or health centers exposed to noise pollution will be obtained.
The contract includes a campaign of “in situ” measurements distributed throughout the municipality of Fuenlabrada. The purpose of the measurement campaigns is twofold: on the one hand, to determine the day-evening-night behavior of the different types of streets identified, and on the other, to adjust the noise maps drawn up.
