]]>In April 2022, dnota started the maintenance works of the air quality network of the Balearic Islands. dnota was awarded the maintenance management tender for two years. In the improvement plan. ]]>dnota will install bettair sensors, in the ZBE of Gijón to control pollution. dnota has been awarded Lot 2, in which the City Council contemplated this type of equipment. This technology consists of the installation of a network of sensors, to have accurate information of the different pollutants, as well as the level of noise pollution.
The #Gijón City Council, will launch an integral technological system in the #ZBE Low Emission Zone in the La Calzada neighbourhood. Will control the pollution of its city. This project is funded from European Council, with Next Generation Funds, through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan,


The neighbourhood of La Calzada de Gijón, is one of the most popular neighbourhoods, with 25,000 inhabitants. It is part of district V (also called the western district), along with the neighbouring neighbourhoods of Jove, Tremañes, El Natahoyo and Moreda, reaching the entire district around 50,000 inhabitants.
The Calzada has a rectangular shape, nestled between train tracks to the north, west and south and with the Avenida del Príncipe de Asturias to the east, which separates it from the Natahoyo. The neighbourhood is bordered to the north by the neighbourhood of El Lauredal, belonging to Jove and to the south by the neighbourhood of Tremañes.

That system allows monitoring and controlling the emission of polluting gases in a specific urban area. ]]>To monitor air quality in #Canada, dnota installs bettair nodes in Canada, in the Val d’Or and Rouyn-Noranda areas. This initiative has been possible thanks to the collaboration of H2Lab. The Val d’Or area in Canada is known for being an #industrial region dedicated to the exploitation of #minerals, especially #gold. Rouyn-Noranda is also a mining town located in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region of #Quebec and is famous for its active and abandoned gold mines. The town was founded in 1920, thanks to the discovery of gold and currently has several operating mines. The area surrounding Rouyn-Noranda is rich in #forests and #lakes, making it an excellent destination for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing and canoeing.

Last March 15, news broke of the relocation of some 200 homes away from the Horne smelter in Rouyn-Noranda, north of the Notre-Dame district. The Quebec government plans to spend $85 million on the relocation. The reason would be that Glencore, a copper smelter. That function would be responsible for the demolition of some 80 buildings to create a new buffer zone around the factory, which produces arsenic fumes and other pollutants.
The province will use the occasion to present the smelter’s next pollutant emissions targets, which are expected to reach a maximum arsenic emissions limit of 15 nanograms (ng) per cubic meter (m3) within five years. ]]>Last June 21, dnota medio ambiente, s.l. approved the incorporation of a new company, called Laboratorios Cavendish, S.L. This new company, as of today, belongs to the group’s corporate organization chart, with the intention of being part of the segregation process of dnota’s current business.

dnota is composed of the AIR, WATER, NOISE and FOOD Divisions, well, dnota will maintain the business of the AIR Division and also that of the FOOD Division, without any change whatsoever.
With respect to the WATER and NOISE DIVISIONS business, the en bloc transfer, by universal succession, means that at the effective date, all the necessary resources are transferred to continue with the same activity under the new corporate name.
The transfer en bloc means transferring all the related assets, all the employees that are currently providing services, as well as all the necessary accessory resources, such as accreditations, authorizations, offices, vehicles and everything that makes possible the production of each and every one of the contracts with the clients.
Once the new company was incorporated on June 30, the transfer was also approved en bloc, by universal successionof the part of the company’s assets and liabilities dedicated to the business of environmental analysis and studies in the WATER and NOISE sectorof an economic unit, for the benefit of the new beneficiary companycalled Laboratorios Cavendish, S.L.

An essential aspect of our business is the link we currently have with all our customers and suppliers. ]]>dnota signed last June 14, its first Innovation project with the CDTI-CENTER FOR INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT, E.P.E.. The project has a budget of 666,850 and is denominated as follows RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS FOR DATA AND EQUIPMENT ANALYSIS IN AIR QUALITY STATIONS’ The project involves the collaboration of two prestigious entities, ACCVRATE and LEITAT TECHNOLOGICAL CENTER, in software development, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence techniques.

dnota is committed to research, technological development and innovation and, in this sense, we have developed projects to promote new technologies of an applied nature, which represent a significant improvement in the service we offer.
Developing R&D&I activities enables us to reduce the management and production costs of projects and processes, and provides us with greater competitiveness in the sector, as well as allowing us to offer our clients a higher quality service.
During these last months dnota has worked on innovation projects that The activities include research on industrial processes and their interaction with the environment, as well as the experimental development of innovative tools and techniques for the analysis and control of environmental parameters.

Last July, dnota was awarded the Innovative SME Seal by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, as a result of the work developed in R&D&I.
This seal reflects dnota’s firm commitment to research, technological development and innovation.
The Innovative SME Seal has allowed us to become more competitive in the sector, a key aspect at a time when productivity improvement is essential.
The main objective is the development of technological solutions that allow predictive studies on environmental data and the operation of Air Quality station equipment.
Network measurement equipment is currently quite advanced and can be managed by low-cost (and low reliability) solutions, or by very complex certified solutions with maintenance programs. In any case, network maintenance is currently performed on a reactive basis. (when it is detected that something is not working well) or in preventive (when a scheduled maintenance operation is performed without seeing the actual condition of the equipment, simply by the data provided by the manufacturer based on their quality studies). Therefore, the project proposes the development of predictive solutions for maintenance tasks, since it will enable operations to be carried out when the equipment requires it.
On the other hand, a second important aspect of the project refers to the analysis of data received from the networks, which in many cases continues to be a manual procedure, in which a technician identifies if there is data that is considered “invalid” and discards it. If unjustified anomalies are detected, a malfunction report is issued.
In this way, and with what is proposed in the project, the process called data validation, as well as the prediction of alert thresholds of exceedance of values by pollutants, would be carried out without relying solely on the human factor of the technician’s experience, but would rely on an expert support system.
Therefore, the main objective of the project is the research and development of algorithms and intelligent systems for the analysis of data obtained from environmental monitoring stations.
In this regard, it should also be noted that the objective of the project is perfectly aligned with the premises and objectives pursued by the development of technologies aimed at Smart Cities.

]]>The City Government has awarded a contract to the company dnotathe technical assistance service contract for the revision and updating of the Ceuta Strategic Noise Map and its Action Planas well as for the technical advice and study for the determination and declaration of the Special Noise Protection Zones (ZPAE) and preparation of a proposal for the corresponding Zonal Action Plans.

In the case of the city of Ceuta, leisure activities also have special characteristics, including the concentration of premises in areas where cumulative effects are produced, especially due to the transit and/or permanence of people (agglomerations).
These are noise sources whose acoustic modeling is somewhat more complicated, both because of the difficulty of spatially locating the sources and predicting their emission power and behavior.
To this end, the MER of Ceuta, in the analysis and evaluation of possible effects, considers carrying out sound level measurement campaigns, whose design has been based on the selection of representative points of the activity of the City, through the identification of sensitive enclaves (health and educational centers, social facilities, etc.), covering foreseeable situations in relation to the main sources of noise identified (road traffic, port, industrial and commercial activity, heliport, etc.) and other locations proposed by citizen entities.
The Action Plan foresees three blocks of measures: Evaluation and Follow-up Actions; Legislative and Administrative Actions; and Executive Actions.
As Evaluation and Monitoring actions, it is planned to update the noise maps of the City and the preparation of specific maps in the enclaves that are identified as the target of protective or corrective actions in acoustic matters.
The process of updating the Strategic Noise Map, will analyze and review the noise legislation and establish requirements for updating the SRMIn addition, it will review and update the acoustic zoning of the City of Ceuta, as well as the development of the acoustic map in accordance with Directive 49/2002/CE, of June 25, of the European Parliament, so that after the adaptation to a geographic information system (GIS) it will be possible to predict the evolution of urban noise.
Field work will also be carried out in the conditions that will allow adjusting and validating the simulation model and generating the database that will be used to update the acoustic map. For this purpose, a sampling plan will be previously carried out in order to perform sound level measurements at significant points in the City and to represent the noise levels of the City as established in the applicable regulations.
